I had a little trouble finding a place to order the kit, I ended up calling Eaton to find a dealer. The guy I spoke with at Eaton Performance was very knowledgeable and answered several questions for me, their phone number is 1-800-328-3850. They recommended calling Tom's Differentials, 208-265-8111, because they actually stock the service kits. Another dealer for the kits is Powertrain Truck & Auto Parts, 1-866-589-4327, but they will get the part drop shipped from Eaton and are more expensive. Summit Racing said they had the part, but it was out of stock and not expected to be back in stock for quite a while. Summit quoted me $155 for the part, Tom's quoted me $128, and Powertrain quoted me $204. That sounded ridiculously expensive to me at first, because I was just thinking about the pins. The kit actually has the pins, the springs, the pin retainer, both side gears, both spider gears and their washers, the cross pin and the cross pin retainer bolt. Considering it has all of that in it I think $128 is actually a surprisingly cheap price.
I've got to say that yes, I would buy it again. I really don't think that it is a deficiency in the locker itself, I think I just didn't take it's limitations seriously enough. Back when I first bought that locker I really had no intentions of going bigger than 33" tires, and AT's at that. I think that after I put the 36" TSL's on, which really is too much tire for the axle itself, and built the motor to have way more power than stock it was just too much for it to handle. I still believe that it's a solid design, I just think that I should have upgraded to a larger axle a while back considering my hammer down style of wheeling. I have no doubt that it was abuse that killed this locker.
