I bought another 68 ford f100 yesterday, I didn't need it but the price was right, it has a better bed than my truck so I can see some swapping being done. I have a house I've been working on to get ready to sell so my truck project has been placed on hold for another month at least, I'm cleaning the barn out this weekend to put the truck in to get ready to start tearing it down. still looking for a reasonable Cummins 4bt and 5 speed transmission. Hope all is going well for my friends in Brasil!!!!!

I have a pickup truck, a car and i still made a trailler! Almost no have more space in Yard to her car.

Cummins makes the rear engine plates to put almost any transmission behind the 3.9 and 5.9 engine, the allison 1000 in that video would require a ECU as well, That transmission was designed to stand up to 600 ft lbs torque and about 800 HP. You can use a aftermarket ECU on this trans as well. The joy about the Allison is that you can run a PTO off of it!

É também possível, mas menos comum para conectar algo diferente de uma bomba hidráulica directamente para a tomada de força.

I can try to find an Allison 1000, used they sell for 1000 USD, rebuilt 3500 USD, the adapter plate for a allison to Cummings engine is 795.00 USD, Plus you will need a controller, The controller thur Destroked.com is 1599.00 usd, Our issue again is how to get it to you? The Allison 1000 weighs 335 pounds, I'm not sure who to contact on that. But I will check on shipping cost for an Item that big. If the Allison is going into a 4x4 I'm not sure is an adapter would be needed for the transfer case or not. let me check and I'll get back to you in a few days.

In Brazil actually we have some models of pickup truck automatic, Hilux, L200 Triton, new Ranger, new S-10, VW Amarok, RAM 2500 and the corean SangYong Action Sports. All of them is very expensive to regular citzen...

I have used both in off-roading, both has good points and bad points. I normally use the easiest to install and the one with the lowest price. In some trucks in the USA its cheaper to put an automatic than it is to use a manual transmission, thats mostly Fords, Chevrolet's and Dodge. the older 3 speed Automatics are cheap and plentiful, the 4 speeds are more expensive.

Greeting to all my friends in Brasil, Nothing much to say about the trucks, I've had no time to work on them, trying to get a house ready to sell and have been putting in 10 hour days on it. I'm hoping that I can start working on my f-100 by the 1st of November, Right now I'll be using the 302 V8 till a suitable diesel engine comes along, every 4 cyl diesel I have found here is high. That is where I think you are very lucky, I think that a small diesel would be the perfect engine for good MPG and good off-road torque. Soon as I get started on my truck I'll post up some pictures!
