I have Kaiser locker in my Pajero TR4 year/model 2010, in the rear differential, and it is perfect...It makes some noises (crackling, this word makes sense for you?) but it is not common...only in some corners in uphill, for example, because it is an automatic locker that compensates the difference of speed of each wheel on curves, so, sometimes, when the crown wheel is not fully paired it makes the mentioned noise, which is nothing more than than the crown wheels aligning themselves when the gas is pressed.
Now, concerning to reduce gear or kaiser locker in front differential, sorry, I can't help you.
I will try to search a bit, ask one friend or another, trying to help you.
regards

I think it can be done in front differential without problems; actually, some months ago guys from Kaiser have suggested to me to put the locker only in front, this way I could have a "selectable" locker (effective only with 4x4 turned on).

This is a good idea. I was planing to start with the locker in the front only. The rear is already LSD so it will give me the best performance to $ ratio gains. In future I think i will replace the rear also. What is the prices for them there?

Yes i understand perfectly. The standard LSD makes noise also so it cant be to bad? the Thumping transfer case with gear changes is the loudest thing :) or do the later models not do that?
I WISH we had 2010 model in australia! We finished in 2002 :( :parede:

kaiser locker here is sold by BRL 2,400, which represents about ~USD 1,400, but our Pajero doesnt have LSD, that's why we replace the common differential to a kaiser locker for example

My Pajero is quite prepared, it has locker, as you know, protections, 160hp, high-performance dampers, snorkel and 2" lift and sooner (in a month I guess) plus 1" body lift, which I intend to do...the wheels are 17", but there is no MUD tires here for 17" wheels, so, I adapted and be adapting myself with all terrain tires...

I can sell you my 2010 Pajero...:mad::mad:

sorry about the delay answering...

Thanks patto!! ill buy your Pajero! :)
you drive on the other side of the road tho :(
I have been very busy with work so have not done much still.
But I have been in contact with Kaiser and will order my front locker sometime over the next few weeks tho!

No low range yet, not enough spare $$$ for all these things :( hehehe. but i WILL do it at some stage, I will put the 5.11:1 crown and pinion in the diff first.
I also want some wheel arch flares like these
http://www.pajerio.com/sites/default/files/TR4%20flares.jpg
any idea who sells them? I did find them a while ago but have lost the information! :(
