Hi Guys thanks for the reply, I have a MWM sprinter 6.07TCA fitted to a landrover 110, its a great engine and makes the landrover really great fun to drive. My problem is I need a solenoid for the starter motor, however as this engine was never sold in Europe / Usa the part is not listed in any parts list I can find. I have been onto Prestolite UK but they said as the starter was only fitted to South American engines I would only get the parts there.

I was wondering if
(a) someone had the part number of the starter motor and the solenoid fitted, lucas is the maker.
(b) a company in South America willing to ship parts to me in Ireland,

I am sure I will need other bits and pieces as time goes on.

Thanks in advance of any help that you can offer

Kevin, i'm not sure but i think BOSCH is the maker of most part of starters to this MWM model. Not the solenoid itself, i mean the starter engine at all...

How about try out a little search for BOSCH authorized dealers/assistances in your country? As a worldwide company, there's a big chance they're present in your region/city

Thanks for the information! :-D, thank god for Babel fish as this helps with the translation. Our local auto technician is a bosch agent, and they had nothing to resemble what was fitted to the truck, the starter is made by lucas argentina, this is printed on it, however our local guy thnks it is a japanese hybrid. The mwm engine is fitted to the silverado I think, I have a number 905720100083 which is printed on the motor.

If possible, take a shot picture of the solenoid, then we can search for something similar to your car. Have you realised about the possibility to swap your starter by another one? Is that possible?

Yea thought about changing starters but as there is no listing here for this engine we cannot do a cross reference.

I have enclosed a pdf file showing the solenoid it is no: K01352
